to be honest i was expecting more criticisms so just one isn't bad.

but i stand by what i said as you will stand by what you said. i am competent in film theory to my knowledge and i am happy with that because at the end of the day when you make a film you will make what looks right to you, and what you want it to look like.

I agree at the end of the day if it looks right then thats all that matters, but i dont think you are particularly competent in film theory... which wouldnt be a problem if you werent trying to make up your own rules and definitions to hide when you misunderstand something. I dont want to sound patronising here but We all misunderstand things, i think its best just to accept you made a mistake and move on. Rather than spend posts and posts trying to dig yourself out of the hole to do with crossing the line simply dont mention it again, let it die down. It will save yourself alot of grief.

i am aware of the 180 rule/crossing the line/running a fraction whatever you wanna call it.

i am also aware that the jolly frog is a one shot film. but in the context of the film, as it is a dialogue scene (in my opinion), the line is actually crossed. whether this matters or not or whether in dialogue scenes terms this is an accurate description it doesn't negate the fact that a line is crossed.

YOU DIDN'T CROSS THE LINE!! there are 2 reasons...

a) it is all in one cut... so even if it broke the 180 degree axis it doesn't really matter

b) It doesn't cross the 180 degree axis...

im glad people are coming foward with the same thing i pionted out, but i think we are past this now Vlad. Everyone agrees he was wrong no piont rubbing it in!

In fact im thinking we should probably drop the issue becos we dont want to victimise him do we! I just hope he isnt going to bother defending what he said for the 5th time and stop digging his hole deeper!
